Default Which signet works best for HM?

Signet of Spirits or Signet of Ghostly Might?

Depends on your and your party's skills. If you're playing with other rit, agree who runs which one. But SoS is the one you'd want to go with in the first place, if you really have to choose from those. PuGs want usually SoS, not SoGM rit.

I believe SoS has a greater damage output capability.

I do like SoGM also though.

Both are good.

My preferred combination (alternative to SoS spammer):
Boon of Creation / Reclaim Essence / Signet of Creation (Spawning Power 14 or better)

Add 4 utility spirits from Communing and Armor of Unfeeling (if using a hero).
If using a hero, equip hero with a staff (otherwise hero does not seem to use Reclaim Essence properly).
Add 3 utility spirits from Communing, 1 Vampiric Spirit, Summon Spirits or Armof of Unfeeling (if running on a PC).

Recommended spirit combinations for offensive:
Anguish, Disenchantment, Pain.
Anguish, Dissonance, Shadowsong.

Recommended spirit combinations for defensive:
Shadowsong, Shelter, Union, Displacement (and Armor of Unfeeling).
Optional: Replace any of the above with Pain.

Your damage output is lower than that of proper SoS build, however utility spirits of Communing are very effective for controlling opponents. Reclaim Essence allows you to bypass 30 second duration of Dissonance or simply redeploy spirits.
Use Signet of Creation prior to combat and maintain during combat - you need to be able to quickly put spirits back. Again, do not hesitate to use Reclaim Essence.

Call targets - spirits often heed your call (not always, unfrotunately).

Regards,
Ruemere

Why on earth haven't I thought of that. If I ever have to dual with another rit, I'll definitely ask him/her to go SoGM if I'm SoS so I can arcane.. mwhah ^^
